How our fees work
We want our professional relationship with you to be a long and fruitful one. We therefore use fixed fees and agreed quotes as our primary billing model.
We understand that a transparent, reasonable and predictable fee structure is as important to you as your business is to us. We know that regardless of size, everyone in the creative industries understands the importance of project-specific budgets, and you need lawyers who recognise that too.
That’s why Kay & Hughes Entertainment Lawyers offer a range of flexible billing solutions, to ensure you get maximum value when you engage our time and expertise. That includes the following choices:
- Unlike many lawyers, our primary billing model is based on fixed fees, with our quotes discussed and agreed before we start any work. If you
have any legal work that you would like performed, ask us for a quote, and we’ll stick to it. It’s as simple as that.
- Whilst litigation and disputes are billed at our standard hourly rates, we are happy to quote for stages of that work, and provide general
estimates in relation to costs in the event court proceedings are necessary.
- For larger matters, transactions, and long-term projects we are also happy to operate on a retainer basis, calculating a monthly fixed fee
amount on the basis of your likely legal needs, averaged over a set period.
When you engage us, we’ll provide you with our full terms and conditions, detailing everything you need to know to ensure that our invoices are transparent, and never a surprise.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our fee structure or billing process.
